Brief: The Salisbury Police Department updated its policy to open up recruitment for tatted cops and needs to increase awareness.
Solution: Led a photography shoot with officers to highlight their tattoos and post to Facebook. Post was extremely successful, inciting positive news coverage for the department.

Women’s History Month
Brief: Highlight the diversity of women employees in the City of Salisbury.
Solution: Led multiple photography shoots with the female employees in several City departments. Designed a minimal graphic frame to tie the photos together. Reach was limited but engagement was very high.

2nd Place: NC3C 2020 – Best USE OF HUMOR
Jake “The Steak”
Brief: Humor is how we connect. Many people enjoy a good, public joke on April Fool’s Day.
Solution: Designed a cartoon mascot, playing on the city’s name in relation to the famous Salisbury Steak meal. Residents had mixed emotions – some thought the reveal was real and were unsettled, while others received the joke as intended and loved it.

Be The Difference
Brief: Recruitment efforts are a continual challenge and each of the diverse City departments needs stand out social media ads to attract quality applicants.
Solution: Managed photography shoots for multiple departments, then created recruitment graphics with small customizations for each department, featuring employees “on the job” smiling and looking into camera.
The year-long recruitment campaign was successful with applicant numbers more than doubled in a 12 month time frame.
